1/2 kg boneless skinless chicken thighs- cut into bite size pieces, 250g mushrooms, 2 small onions, 3 tbsp peppercorns, 2 cardamom pods(make into a powder), 1 tbsp G&G paste, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, whole masalas (1/2 inch cinnamon stick, 1 bay leaf, 1 star anise)salt to taste and coriander leaves to garnish 3

Marinate the chicken with G&G paste, turmeric powder and salt 4

Set it aside for 10 minutes 5

Heat oil in the kadai and add the whole masalas 6

Add the onions7

Add some salt and sauté the onions so that the onions will cook faster8

After 10 minutes add the mushrooms 9

Sauté that for another 10 minutes and then add the marinated chicken 10

Mix it well 11

Cover it with a lid so that the chicken will cook in its own juice 12

After the chicken is 75% cooked, add the grinded pepper powder. 14

Sauté it well for another 10 to 15 minutes until the oil oozes out15

Garnish with coriander leaves 16
