1 kg boneless chicken cut into bite size pieces, 2 tbsp cornflour, 1 tbsp G&G paste, 1/2 tsp pepper and salt to taste.
Marinate the chicken with these ingredients
Add 1 beaten egg and mix it with the marination
Let it sit for an hour in the refrigerator
3 stems of spring onions/scallions chopped, 2 inch ginger chopped, 5 to 6 garlic pods chopped, 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped, 1 big onion chopped
Take 4 tbsp of Soy sauce( not the dark one), 2 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1 tbsp green chili sauce, 1 1/2 tbsp of corn flour mixed with 1/2 cup of water, 1 tbsp vinegar
Shallow fry the chicken in the oil
Set it aside
Add some oil to the kadai, and add chopped garlic and ginger and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes in a medium flame
Add the half chopped scallions/ spring onions and fry for couple of minutes
Add the onions
Fry for 5 to 7 minutes
Now add all the sauces one by one
Add some water also to the mixture to make it for a gravy consistency and then add the corn flour mixture to the gravy. Adjust the water to decide how thick you want the gravy. After the gravy boils up, add the chicken pieces. Mix well so that the gravy coats well in the chicken.
Finally add coriander leaves and remaining scallions/spring onions
Chicken Manchurian is ready
