Chicken 555

5 masalas used to marinate this chicken. This marinated chicken later shallow fried in coconut oil, which makes this chicken dish even more tastier.2

1 kg chicken-I used chicken leg quarters cut into medium sized pieces3

1 1/2 tbsp ginger & garlic paste and 2 tsp salt4

Marinate the chicken with ginger and garlic paste and salt.5

8 to 10 small onions, 2 tsp pepper corns, 12 to 15 dry red chilies( you can add more depend on your spice level) 1 1/2 tsp sombu/fennel seeds and 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.6

First grind all the dry ingredients except the onions into a fine powder7

Then add the onions8

Grind it to a smooth paste9

Marinate the chicken with the grinded paste10

Heat coconut oil in a kadai11

Add the chicken pieces one by one into the oil, Do not over crowd the chicken12

Fry the chicken until it turns golden color and well cooked13

Once the chicken is well cooked, remove it from the oil and place it in a plate. Fry all the remaining chicken pieces as mentioned above

Finally add some bunch of curry leaves in the oil and saute that for 30 seconds  and garnish it on the chicken pieces15
