Falooda | Summer Cooler Recipes

Falooda is a very famous cold dessert. Traditionally it is made from mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, Sabja seeds(sweet basil) and pieces of jelly with milk and topped with a scoop of ice cream. Make this dessert in this Summer, and surprise your kids 🙂 

NOTE: I used the falooda sev  in this recipe. But after trying this sev, I came to know, just the regular vermicelli works good rather than the Falooda sev, This sev is very sticky. So when you prepare this Falooda, please use the regular vermicelli sev. That will work good.

Rose Milk ( Prepare rose milk by adding milk, sugar, rose syrup) Link to prepare rose milk is provided below 2 Cups
Sabja Seeds( soak the seeds for 20 minutes by adding 7 to 8 tbsp of water) 2 Tbsp Sabja Seeds
Sev( cook the sev by adding 1 1/2 cup of water in a medium flame) 1/2 cup Vermicelli
Vanilla Ice Cream 3 Scoops per cup
Strawberry Jelly( I bought store bought Strawberry Jello and prepared the jello as per the package directions) 4 to 5 Tbsp per cup

Add 2 spoons sabja seeds to a tall glass

Add 2 spoons vermicelli

Add 2 or 3 spoons strawberry jelly( as per your kid’s wish, you can increase the jelly  🙂 )

Now add 1 cup of rose milk

Add 1 scoop of ice cream and repeat the process until the glass is full  🙂 

At the top finish it with jellyEnjoy!
